I have found one, but it isn't pretty so I'm not going to post it as it'd take away from the comic value of the first one.

there'd be an incredible amount of red tape and it would take years to implement, and that's after the Government finally decide to have some backbone and put something into action. When is the legislation coming in? I seem to recall it's May 2006, but I could be thoroughly wrong. Maybe that's when Wetherspoon are doing it.

the 2 years might not be exact it could happy Jan 1st 2008 Nah, more likely it'll be after May - that wouldn't be a full two years and Advertising Standards would call them todgers. If it was that way then all pubs would be non-smoky before May 2008, which is even better.

As long as pubs stop being smoky, that's cool.

I wouldn't be adverse to a smoking room in a pub as long as it was sealed off from normal folk

I wouldn't be adverse to a smoking room in a pub as long as it was sealed off from normal folk Certainly - that's fine. And when in the beer garden - anywhere the smoke can dissipate quickly enough.

As long as no-one's eating in the beer garden, either.

Smoking ruins both the taste of food and the dining experience, anyone who even contemplates smoking round food is stupidly inconsiderate and needs a red hot poker up their arse

As long as no-one's eating in the beer garden, either. As I said, as long as it dissipates quickly enough, and thus can't be smelled, I don't mind. Trouble is, the wind's usually in an unfortunate direction.
