Can any kindly soul who passed their driving test after the Hazard Perception test was introduced please give me a little run down?
All my licence-holding friends passed before hazard perception was brought in, and I don't exactly get it.
All I know is you sit at a screen and hit a button when you see a hazard, but what type of thing to they mean? Kids racing about on pavements/dogs/blind people at zebra crossings? *lost*
Any help v much appreciated =D

Its basically only developing stuff theyre looking for, for example the bus thats inevitably going to pull out in front of you, or the person you can tell isnt going to wait at the zebra lights, but is gonna run straight over, the sheep by the country road-side that no doubt will see fit to wander into the road. The basic rule is, if it isnt "sign posted" and as such 'develops' and will force you to change your speed or position, then its a hazard.
Essentially i found it boiled down to one of two events, cars/cycles/buses pulling out & stopping or pedestrians darting out onto the road. In addition to this chuck in 'passing points' on country lanes and animals etc (they didnt turn up in my 'proper test' but occasionalyl cropped up in the mock) and your more or less sorted

yeah click when u notice a developing hazard, dont click too many times or it thinks you're cheating, get hold of a practice disk, do it a few times and u shud be fine, the pass mark on the real test is 44/75 so get so ur consistently above that level to allow for nerves and a bastard of a clip !

"at least I'm not you" [MDG: edited from "O rly?"] yeah you dont deserve to be this good. MDG edit: Stop messing with the filter GKN, it's causing arguments that shouldn't be there.

Dont click too many times or it thinks you're cheating. Although that is correct don't worry about clicking too much. Click evan if your not sure. Because you get loads. But don't just click for the sake of it. Some good advice i was given is "click when something moves". Good luck in your test..
