Before I say anything. I must make it clear that I am 16 so within the standards of "teenager".
Yes, a lot of my peers get carried away with Teen Angst and suicide and "help me im so sad". But some of its good.
Some of us try really hard. For instance I'm trying really hard to find a poetry site where people comment on eachother and help eachother hone(sp?) their talents. I am on
www.eliteskills.com currently... but it seems to have become overrun with teenagers who dont know there are actually 26 letters in the alphabet. And who have no idea how to give constructive criticism. ( you usually only get.. " oh i so relate" )
Do any of you know a site where people actually know what they are talking about?
yes im going to put this poem in here because I want help with it, this poem is really important to me.
And really ... is this so bad?
Collateral DamageLife pushes my nodding head;
in its tub of dirty laundry
and Hell waves a rancid flag for air,
as I scream for retribution.
Tie my hands behind my back
with ribbons of unfulfilled promises.
Little kids look for lost puppies,
as teenagers secretly meet cyber-dudes.
Push me in the river of self-deception,
weighted down by international accomplishments.
As people sit in prison for indecent exposure
men are humiliated in woman’s view.
Let me float to lost Atlantis
on the backs of love and hope.
The Devil offers peace and friendship
while the church turns away the persecuted.
